An original watercolour and mixed media painting inspired by a visit to the river and weir at Buscot, Oxfordshire. Buscot is a tiny village with a fabulous tearoom and playground near to the river Thames, which has a beautiful lock and weir. Families picnic in the sun next to the river and swim in the large swimming hole in front of the weir. The painting was inspired by a walk along the river on a beautiful hot day in June. Loosely painted in watercolour with energetic marks added in ink and watercolour pencil crayon.

Painted on Arches 300gsm Cold Press 100% cotton paper.

SIZE: 18 x 26 cm Landscape orientation.

Signed and dated on the front in ink.
